Ahoy fellow vegans!

Post by Megabeets »

Hey there :)
For a long time I searched for a place to discuss, share and read about philosophical aspects of veganism, (post-)humanism and such.

My name is Itay, I am vegan since late 2013 after one moment of clear thinking. I had the courage and the decency to confront the hard truth - I was participating in needless acts of violence against animals, just for the sake of my own pleasure and convenience.

I am a vegan activist and a vegan hacktivist, a social activist, a blogger, a reverse engineer, and a security researcher.
Happy to be here and take part in this community :)

Will end with some quotes >>
The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women created for men.
Just how destructive does a culinary preference have to be before we decide to eat something else? If contributing to the suffering of billions of animals that live miserable lives and die in horrific ways isn't motivating, what would be? If being the number one contributor to the most serious environmental threat facing the planet isn't enough, what is? And if you are tempted to put off these questions of conscience, to say not now, then when? (Alice Walker and Jonathan S. Foer)

Ahoy Megabeets, welcome to the forum!
I like your reason for going vegan, I think a few of us can resonate with that.

Can you summarize what you do as a vegan hacktivist? I'm curious.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you like it here.
I'll second the curiosity about vegan hacktivism (without sharing anything incriminating). It is like hacking into corporate email and leaking them talking about animal abuse (don't say if you've done that specifically)?

I have no ethical problem with exposing corruption, but make sure your IP is masked by a proxy server if you give any info on the forum that could result in me getting a court order I'd be forced to comply with (as admin).

Nothing like this πŸ˜… While indeed Hacktivism sounds like something on the offensive side (and it can be), we at Vegan Hacktivists are focusing on creating, developing and maintaining different projects that will help spread veganism and compassion. I thought that the link I put on the original post worked, but if not - check out our website - > https://veganhacktivists.org/
