We've already had a discussion on here as to why the arguments against 'Plant Based Capitalism' are idiotic, but according to some vegans twitter account, Lightlife is trying to denounce other vegan meats?

They've been publicly trashing and fear mongering against beyond meat and the impossible burger.

There's kind of an unwritten rule of capitalism that you don't directly trash other brands, kind of the opposite of politics; ad campaigns are almost always clean in that way, they talk about why their own brand is better and not why others are bad. So they're not only going against that, they're promoting anti-science talking points and trying to scare people off of a couple of the leaders in the market who have revolutionized meat replacements and made incredible changes.

Although Lightlife is owned by the meat industry I don't think it's a meat industry conspiracy, I just think Lightlife is being incredibly stupid, however I do think consumers should discourage that kind of behavior. We don't need that kind of behavior Lightlife is engaging in, it isn't helpful.

Is it legal to call out particular companies in your advertising?

That's pretty unfortunate anyway, since LightLife is a pretty big staple in mock meats (although I never liked their Turkey slices). If they back down and apologize for this crap I guess I'll buy from them again.
