Evolution of veganism in future generations

According to an article on Forbes, a magazine for billionaires, millenials are driving a global shift away from meat eating, mostly for ethical motives.

If in fact Gen Y is introducing veganism into humanity on a large (global) scale, what would its effect be for future generations?
Question: Is there a sign that generations after Gen Y, e.g. Gen Z either returns to meat eating or enhances a shift to veganism?

I think there is a chance of higher percentages shifting to veganism but I don't think it will ever be 100%. But by the way trends are going and healthy eating is becoming a larger conversation, I think it will be more common!

I also noticed that Gen Z may be more careless with regard to food, and is more inclined to follow others based on the psychology FOMO (fear of missing out). This may be an indication that Gen Z may (more easily) choose for artificial meat when it would become a hype.

To reach 100% you'd have to reach 99% and then outlaw eating meat for the other 1%... but there's a good chance they'd be setting traps for animals and eating them in gross meat speakeasies.
I don't think it would be as bad as alcohol, since:
1. Usage would have been phased out already rather than a sudden ban where most of society doesn't already abstain.
2. Mock meats are a much better replacement for meat than seltzer water is for booze.
3. Meat doesn't have the same kind of drug effect alcohol does so it's not physiologically addictive in the same way.
4. While there is a social aspect to eating, it's not specific to intoxication in the way alcohol is. E.g. vegans and meat eaters can share that aspect in a way drinkers and non-drinkers can not.
5. Technology. Both in law enforcement, and detection. While we have that kind of technology now for alcohol (

The shift is painfully slow. If someone, 10 years ago, had told me that in 2020 the percentage of vegans would still be under 2% I would have been very surprised (and disappointed).
