I was always daunted by the notion of talking with representatives, but I've actually been thinking about this more. I talked with my local State Assemblyman about nuclear energy a coon's age ago and I don't really remember what came of it.
Anyway, I've been thinking of making more of a habit of talking with my representatives about issues, with a phone call or email every week or so.
I'm more familiar with issues the federal government has control over, but some of these things are State level issues too.

I've been planning on contacting them about the following things, in no particular order:
- Nuclear Energy and just better climate policies
- Ending agricultural subsidies
- Pushing more free or affordable STEM, Med School, and Trade school education
- Keeping support for the National Popular Vote Bill (New York has already signed off on it, but it doesn't hurt to make sure they understand we want them to keep it
- Ending tariffs and opening up trade with more countries
- Drug decriminalization
- More healthcare (obviously)
- Educational programs about the issues with meat consumption, and other educational programs to encourage more green and healthier behaviors
- Push against GMO labeling
- UBI
