I am 17 years old and live in Cumbria, UK. Although I consider myself an atheist and have done for a relatively long time I am still very interested in discussions on these matters. I might be young but I'd like to think I am reasonably mature and open to debates and criticism.

Welcome to the forum Tickle. How long have you been an atheist?

I have been an athiest for as long as I can remember. Most likely because my parents thought it was best to let me make my own decisions and didn't choose to set me on any religious path. I would probably say I have always been sceptical of "higher existences" just because of the lack of proof and have found the concept of religion understandable in an older setting, like celtic paganism, but somewhat baffling in modern day terms.
