Im an atheist and new to this forum :D
Altough, at the time of writing, I am currently a meat eater (altought I do try to limit my consuption of meat.), i way change my mind if faced with convincing arguments and statistics. But then again, i would have to wait to be able to move out to be 100% vegan, because family and stuff.

Thank you for your time. :D

Hi Vlad, welcome. I'm glad you're open minded.

I'm not sure what statistics are needed. It mostly just comes down to eating animal products being irrational.

Are you familiar with the terms "Win win", "win lose" and "lose lose" in conflict resolution?

The most rational outcome is "win win", while "win lose" isn't great, but it's at least understandable. "Lose lose" is the most irrational outcome.

Animal products are "lose lose". They're bad for your health, harm animals, the environment, etc. Completely unnecessary. It's just not rational to eat them today.

When something is "lose lose" or "win win", it's more of a black and white issue. When everybody wins, it's obviously good. When everybody loses, it's obviously bad.

"Win lose" is more of a grey area. That's where you can have a lot of debate. Like animal experimentation for medical reasons. In these situations, you need to compare the good and the bad, and make some tough judgement calls, to determine which is larger. That's where statistics are really important, because different data can totally change the outcome of the analysis when there's both good and bad coming from something.

For animal agriculture, in the modern world (as opposed to in third world countries where some people may need it to survive), there's just nothing useful about it, so there's no harm and benefit to weigh against each other.
Hope that makes sense.

If you want details on how or why it's bad in these ways, we can provide.
