I would have to say that my favorite deities/ mythological beings tend to fall under any God of knowledge. Two that stick out in my mind being Prometheus and Ea .( pronounced eh) Why? Well I enjoy knowledge.

I like Talos because he was the bad@$$ conqueror of Tamriel (as a mortal; Tiber Septim), and he became a god. Praised be mighty Talos Stormcrown, he who is both man and divine! I also like Akatosh because helped Martin Septim fight Mehrunes Dagon in the form of a big glowing dragon.

Some of my favorite Daedra Lords: Azura, Meridia, Nocturnal, Mehrunes Dagon, Molag Bal, Sheogorath, and Hermaeus Mora.

I like the greek gods, particularly Hades, Apollo and Athene.

I would have to go with Odin/Wotan/Woden

Outside folk myths, my favorite book deity is Arioch the Lord of the seven darks, since I love Elrik the champion eternal, and his might sword Stormbringer, the stealer of souls.

Probably Godzilla, Gaia and the ones from Baron Munchausen who can decapitate themselves and have sex with their bodies while their heads are floating around playing kiss-chase or harrassing people. I also quite like Poseidon - he makes me want to own a massive, fog-filled bath and play with scale replicas of galleons, whilst potentially electrocuting myself with a Van der Graaf generator to produce fake lightening.

That's quite a ridiculous fantasy, but it sounds like fun!

Much fun, and you'll have hair like Einstein when you're done battling in the stormy seas! :-)
