I'm finally making a post.

Hello Internet, more specifically the users of this forum, I have finally decided to get an account and join the discussions here, how wonderful. It seems fitting that this be my first post ( and consequently the most irrelevant.) so concludes this post

Quite awhile actually, I remember that I started wathching the vegan atheist about a year ago. I have been spectating this forum ever since he created it. The only reason I haven't created an account earlier is because I could not make a name for an email account ( I do not want to use my school given email account for obvious reasons.) But I finally found a name that wasn't taken, that name being "iamrunningoutofnameshere" funny huh?

Ah, ok.

School email? Are you a teenager? Are your parents atheists also?

P.S. I'm going to be responding to you on my topic about discrimination and businesses later.

Yes I am a teenager, no my parents are not atheists, only my mother and two of my brothers know, at least when I think of people in my family. And thank you, I would love for you to respond to my post on discrimination and businesses.

Ooooh same.

Are you not telling the rest of your family because they are very religious?

Thank ya. :D

I no longer really agree with my original position, so I'll have to play devil's advocate some.

Personally, I refrained from telling my family for awhile simply because I did not care to, my younger brother found out when he wondered what YouTube video I was watching. It was a video made by Darkmatter2525, I was a little careless and I did not fully put in my head phones fully and he heard it, over a period of the past year, he told my older brother ( He didn't care.) and my mother after returning from church this past Easter. However my mother did tell me not to talk to my father about it, so I can only speculate that he would not be as accepting, but I digress.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Glad to hear that you like Darkmatter2525. He has very funny and clever videos with thought-provoking messages. Sorry to hear that you need to hide your atheism. Do you live in a region of the world that's not so accepting of atheism, or it simply that your family are religious?

I live in North Carolina, so yeah there is a church every fifty feet. My parents have always taught me to be religious, The oldest thing that I can remeber in my life is my first day of preschool, my parents had sent me to a private preschool due to some conflict with a public daycare with my siblings. It was a preschool that taught Christianity, and the first day there they taught opus about Jesuses resurrection, they basically took a cloth and rolled it up and explained what it meant, then they put it under a chair to represent his tomb. Then they had us turn around for ten seconds. When we turned back around, the clothe was gone. While it is a foolish source of pride I do feel happy that I was one of the few to see through the deception ad announce that they had hidden it, only to be called stupid for thinking that. Kids can be so gullible huh?

Welcome to the community. Nice job on becoming atheist although your parents are religious. This is a rare feat that you should be proud of.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.
