I'm new to the forum. As a physician and a nonbeliever, it's nice to have a place like this to share ideas. I'm a 50 y/o family doctor. I was vegetarian since birth but gave up dairy in 2011. I'm active in helping my patients find their way to health by giving up dangerous foods of all stripes including but not limited to meat and dairy. Happy to read some of the threads here so far.

Hi Shai, welcome to the forum!

That's great that you're in a position to help people so much toward a healthy diet. It's a shame how many doctors are irresponsible and advise their patients to eat meat because they didn't study nutrition. You're one of the good ones.

Are you from Toronto? If so, check out vegan family doctor Matthew Cruickshank. I don't know if he's atheist, though.

TheVeganAtheist, why do you care about whether or not your doctor is an atheist? How does that affect his/her competence and/or reliability as a doctor?
