Correlation between a country's religion and economy

Post by Jebus »

Given the current economic difficulties of the PIGS countries, do you think it is a coincidence that these are also the most religious countries in Europe. What may be the cause for this?
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Poor education tends to cause both religiosity and poverty (or, rather, they are things that exist for lack of education). Poverty may also drive people to become more religious, but I'm more doubtful of that when one controls for education.
