Do you think that whether or not a drug is legal determines if it is ok or not?By drugs, I meant illegal drugs such as Marijuana, not legal ones like Alcohol
You can't be an atheist and Jewish; Jewish people believe in God.and please ask "Vegan" Atheist and his Jewish friends to stop banning me please
Actually you can. 'Jewish' can either refer to followers of Judaism and to an ethnic/ethnoreligious group (wiki). You don't have to be a believer to be a Jew, you just need Jewish parents. Einstein was one of them, Jerry Coyne and Brian Greene are modern examples of atheist Jews.EquALLity wrote:You can't be an atheist and Jewish; Jewish people believe in God.

I guess I would consider myself an Atheist Jew. Or, do both of my parents have to be Jewish? What's the exact "rule" on the parents? I'm sounding stupid, but does this rule only apply to Jews and Judaism, or does it apply to any other religion?Volenta wrote:Actually you can. If only one of your parents is Jewish, you're half Jewish. (common sensedinnermeal wrote:I guess I would consider myself an Atheist Jew. Or, do both of my parents have to be Jewish? What's the exact "rule" on the parents?
There is nothing wrong with asking questions. Please do. It's the best way to learn new things.dinnermeal wrote:I'm sounding stupid
There are other religions that have a similar historic background that are maintained, but it's not the case with the other major religions (like Christianity or Islam).
